A teacher and mentor at heart, Ketakee is an avid dance enthusiast in Bharat-Natyam. Ketakee’s foundation was built during her stint of 10 years with her Guru, assisting in every aspect of the dance teaching process. For the last 25+ years, Ketakee has been teaching, exploring, studying, and writing about Indian Classical Dance. Her passion is to mentor students on a one-on-one basis, perfecting it, and enjoying every small detail of the dance.
Ketakee is a Home Science graduate from Pune, a post-graduate (MA) in Dance, and also a UGC-NET certified teacher in performing arts (Dance).
Indian Classical Dance (शास्त्रीय नृत्य) is a rich Indian tradition, rooted in predominantly Hindu Culture. Its elaborate study and knowledge can be traced to the ancient Sanskrit text Natya Shastra.
